The Flavor Finale is the last of the pluots to ripen -- and they come on in September I'm told. So, if I work this out right, the pluots will come into season right after the tablegrapes and peaches have played out. That's the fiendish master fruit plan -- but who really knows? Plus -- I've requested that the wife get me this great grafting tool for my birthday. Even an idiot like me can't possibly screw up a grafting job with this grafting tool. So, at some point in the next year or two, I will probably be grafting other pluot varieties onto the Flavor Finale. The same is true with the Santa Rosa plum -- and just about every other fruit tree in the yard.Bill Birdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11816389236294882066noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1040094306206601621.post-40865865334907406662011-03-01T08:45:08.320-08:002011-03-01T08:45:08.320-08:00My Santa Rosa was in full-blossom during this last...My Santa Rosa was in full-blossom during this last cold spell - am hoping that it doesn't mean no plums. That would be pure heartbreak. The apricot always has more fruit than we can even give away, so if its production is stunted I'll be okay. Really need to find room for a pluot, though .... what made you go for the Flavor Finale ?Laura Bellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17423983568575209569noreply@blogger.com
